Started as an exhibition in the Albertinum, "Kaleidoscope of (Hi)stories" has evolved into an accurate and fitting title for a broader ongoing project. It has opened up a versatile framework for the reflection and comprehension of Ukrainian art, facilitating the infusion of new meanings, values, and interpretations. “Kaleidoscope” has grown into a Research Platform hosting a series of traveling exhibitions, lectures, publications and a residency program. The entire project reassembles the history of art in Ukraine and its heritage through scattered fragments, voices, and new concepts, laying the groundwork for the future of a multifaceted and heterogeneous culture.

On November 25, we are opening an international conference to share the results of the Research Platform "Thoughts about the Future" within the framework of the "Kaleidoscope of (Hi)stories" project. This intense conference comprises a series of presentations, discussions, lectures, screenings, artist talks, and an audiovisual performance on topics such as Museums and Collections, Dialectics of Modernity, and Artistic and Cultural Actions during the War.

Was als Ausstellung im Albertinum begann, hat sich zu einem treffenden und passenden Titel für ein breit gefasstes Projekt entwickelt. Es bildet den Rahmen für die Auseinandersetzung mit, und das Verständnis der ukrainischen Kunst, der das Einbringen neuer Bedeutungen, Werte und Interpretationen erleichtert. "Kaleidoscope" hat sich zu einer Forschungsplattform entwickelt, die eine Reihe von Wanderausstellungen, Vorträgen, Publikationen und ein Residenzprogramm umfasst. Das gesamte Projekt fügt die Geschichte der Kunst in der Ukraine und ihr Erbe anhand von verstreuten Fragmenten, Stimmen und neuen Konzepten neu zusammen und legt damit den Grundstein für die Zukunft einer vielseitigen und heterogenen Kultur.

Am 25. November eröffnen wir eine internationale Konferenz, auf der die Ergebnisse der Forschungsplattform "Thoughts about the Future" im Rahmen des Projekts "Kaleidoscope of (Hi)stories" vorgestellt werden. Eine Reihe von Präsentationen, Diskussionen, Vorträgen, Vorführungen, Künstlergesprächen und eine audiovisuelle Performance zu Themen wie Museen und Sammlungen, Dialektik der Moderne und künstlerische und kulturelle Aktionen während des Krieges bilden das Programm der Konferenz.
Die Konferenz findet auf Englisch, Deutsch und Ukrainisch statt.
